Mark (@hardlynormal) knows what homelessness is all too well, and he has a story to tell. Michael (@holycowcreative) wants to help:
Mark Horvath, of invisiblepeople.tv, is trying to help those that find themselves [without shelter] by telling their stories. This Christmas (and I wish I wasn’t so late in thinking to do this) I want to help him in this cause by seeing the need and helping out. Mark has told me these people need raincoats during this season. For some they’ll wear them as they walk to the local shelter and for others they will become their shelter when there is no more room or they just can’t make it in. [read the whole thing]
I want to help too, and I hope you do as well. You can send a coat for $4.29. If you need some encouragement, allow me to make an offer:
If you donate a coat, I’ll design a customized twitter avatar for you. If you donate five coats, I’ll make you an animated avatar. If you donate 10 coats, I’ll make you an amazing twitter background.
Click “Send a Raincoat” below to donate. Once you do, post a comment here or contact me on twitter so we can work out the details of the your design.
Thank you.
(P.S. If you’re a graphic designer, and you’re interested in being involved in this or similar goodness, let me know.)
